I purchased the cs-24 and so did my hunting buddy. We used them throughout the fall and not a single issue. As soon as the winter hit problems started. Both units have the exact same problems. As soon as the temp falls below -5 Celcius the units will not respond to the remote. Soemtimes if you change the volume level it suddenly kicks in. My buddy has built an insulated box around his leaving only the speaker horn sticking out. He then stuffs hot packs in with the battery pack. Last weekend hunting it worked where mine would not. Sure this is a fix but after spending all this cash on this unit you shouldnt have to custom make insulating boxes to get it to work. I guess I will have to do the same if I want to winter hunt. Anyone else come up with a solution??? All cs-24's must have the same issue not just our two. Great SEASONAL caller..and nice paper weight in winter...
