I've been thinking about downloading one of the snow Shoe sounds onto my FX3, becouse 2 of my friends have been haveing luck on yotes with them. I have not been haveing any luck with Lightning Jack, Adult Cottentail, Jack Rabbit Distress,Screamin rabbit, Little Rabbit, Baby CotonTail, and 2 of the Duets. My 2 friends both are not sure which of the Snow Show sounds they have. One guy got his on a Spitfire from Cabelas, and my other buddy has and Fury. Whats been good for you? Alec

Unfortunately for some reason I too have had little luck using the sounds other people seem to like.

Try DSG cottontail I think this is a mouth call but it gets good results.

Luscious Lips Free download but they should charge for it. I would not trade Luscious Lips for Lightening Jack at all.

I have not fell for that "Real Animal Sounds" theory myself. I have called way too many animals using Handcalls most of which were recorded. I have still never heard a real good imitation of a Cottontail screaming when it is caught.

Nutty Nuthatch and Male Cardinal Distress These will call Coyotes and Cats.

I have another called Wild Rabbit Fight that I downloaded off the internet some where that produces as well.

I have always had good luck with the Johnny Stewart sounds. I think you can buy these on CD.

The other day I had called a reliable stand for 20 minutes with no results. I decided to wake them up out of their Dens and played plain old Jack Rabbit Distress at full volume out of my CS 24. Poor old Chupa's hair stood on end from the volume. I switched to Nutty Nuthatch and heard him shoot. I think the Jack Distress woke them up and the Nuthatch brought it in.

I have had luck with Snowshoe High Pitch as well.

Another sound that has called in lots of Coyotes for me is Baby Pig Distress or whatever FoxPro calls the pig sound. I have never called a pig with it but the Coyotes like it.

I couldn't agree more. I just got my CS-24 this month. It will be going back this week. Used all my rabbit sounds, none of which I like! Tried 4 yesterday at a 20 min stand. Finally shut it off pulled out my mouth call and in 4 mins had a coyote in sight.

I am going to have to read my paper work real close because I never saw were FoxPro said my CS24 would call up a coyote every time I went calling with it.

That is why I carry mouth calls too.....just in case the coyotes don't like what they are hearing. They don't work all the time either.Maybe I should send them back too.

Forget that! Sending all those calls back would cost you a small fortune.

I suppose you got your money?

I sure did Terry. And I'm really sorry if I didn't send you a PM telling you that I had (and that the charger was on the way).

I try real hard to keep a buyer or seller updated and informed through out the transaction. Sounds like I dropped the ball on this one. Sorry about that.

daddyflea, what you did with the volume was what I do all the time and it works great for me. Lightning Jack, Jack Rabbit Distress and Luckybird are all loud sounds and they will reach way out there on full volume.

If you are not calling in coyotes at about 30% of your stands, what do you have to lose by not going to full volume sometime during the stand?

For 22 years I used a cassette caller and used one sound at a time with the volume on full blast and I killed a bunch of coyotes doing it that way.

Not all of the coyotes out there are going to be in a perfect spot to hear your caller if it is on half volume. If they are over a ridge or hill, down in a low spot, in thick brush by running water, etc they may not hear your calling sounds until you go to full blast on the volume.

I have never seen coyotes running the other way when I use high volume.

If nothing else use your normal volume for 8 to 10 minutes and then go full blast for 1 to 2 minutes and then back it down.

I have taken quite a few coyotes this season at the end of long stands when I go to Coyote Pup Screams or Coyote Pup Distress 3 on full volume. I use a CS-24 with a SP-55 speaker so it is very loud. With the pup distress sounds I leave my CS-24 on full blast the whole time.

While playing rabbit sounds I hit full volume 2 or 3 times during the stand.

Snowshoe Hi Pitch is a great rabbit sound. Prairie Dog in Distress is also working great for me and there are no Prairie Dogs for hundreds of miles within my hunting area.

eurosport. That yote had A long way to jog to get to you. He would have come any way. Kinda like being the guy who needs A bunt to win the game, And treats it like hitting A three run homer.. LMAO..

Personally I don't use the rabbit sounds that much for yotes this time of year. Breeding season is coming fast. So howling from my prairie blaster gets me A locate answer, and they are coming.

Rhino.

The calls don't sound good to HIM. If he was a coyote, I'd be worried. The coyote that came to the mouth call could have been on the way to the FoxPro sound. The sound used has the least to do with success or failure of the stand.
