I was out calling yesterday and i set the caller 100 yards from me and when i tryed to start the caller and the remote wouldnt turn it on so i walked within 25 yards and it turned it on. What could be causing this because there was nothing blocking the caller. Next question is how can you get the sound to come out of the sp55 speaker and the caller.

I would seriously check your batteries new ones even are bad sometimes.

Inside your caller there is a red jumper(s) to move to use both speakers Internal and stereo.

When you hold your remote hold it straight up with the antenna pointing toward the sky not the caller, that will help also make sure the antenna on your Scorpion is pointing up rather than laying alongside your caller. The higher you hold your remote up the more range you will get as well. Like Vaportrail mentioned batteries could be an issue also.

Take a look at page 6 of the manual. It will play both speakers unless you have shut something off or moved the jumpers.

The jumper inside is for turning the onboard speaker on/off. The two speaker ports are turned on/off via a remote function. Check your owners manual.

Remote function can suffer if the scorpion in on the ground. Don't understand but I hang mine and have great response.
