Foxpro TX1000 Power Issue

Sometimes my Tx1000 remote won't turn on when using the power button, but if I press hard on the battery cover it will come on. I've had the remote turn off if I press the cover just right. Pretty annoying when on a stand. It happens intermittently, sometimes it works great other times it gives a fit. Anyone else had this issue? Seems like a short to me?

make sure every where in the battery tray where the battery ends are suppose to touch are good and clean and no corrosion.

if those are good to go then, yeah, might be a bad connection somewhere else.

I have 2 TX1000's, neither one has ever done what you describe.
I'm guessing that yours has a short either in 1 of the terminals or somewhere behind the battery compartment. Send it back for repair, my experience with FoxPro repair has been excellent.
If it is in warranty they might send you a return label if you ask for it.

The warranty varies depending on the call model, but if yours' uses the Tx1000 it probably is 5 years from date of original purchase, regardless of when it was made. Look at your manual or on FoxPro's site. Did you register it? If so you won't need your original receipt now.

If it is out of warranty FoxPro might give you a repair quote if you call them. The last time that I sent a call in for repair they found a problem that I did not know about and they called me for my approval before they did the additional repair and they paid for the return shipping.
