Foxpro - what to do???

I have a few hand calls but am looking to get a FX3 soon for a possible trip to WY in late September. Here are my decisions:

1. It sounds like Foxpro is coming out with new units soon, but will they debut (and actually be available) soon enough for my trip??

2. I'd like to buy from Cabelas (FX3), but what sounds do the come with and do I have to pay extra to change those sounds to what I want or can I order them custom similar to Allpredatorcalls.com?? The reason I want to go with Cabelas is that I have $150+ in points to put towards the purchase. If I have to I'd save the points for a scope or other purchase, but they would sure take some bite out of a $400 call...

Anyone have any insight on this?
Thanks,
Joel

Well Joel,

I'm not a rep so I certainly don't know but Foxpro has hinted that a new unit is on the way. I think I read somewhere that it will make it's debut at the World Predator Hunting Expo in Kc on August 22nd! You're not too far from there so just show up and see one in person! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you really want to use your points at Cabela's to lower the cost on the FX3, later on you can order 16 more of the sounds if you want from Foxpro for about $25.00. A.P. Jones at allpredatorcalls.com can help you with your sound selection and you may not have to buy more sounds later.

I'd by an FX3 now and then buy the new caller later. Doesn't ever hurt to have a back up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think I'll wait until the after the new models are released at the Expo. Might change my mind or they might not, and ya never know, there could be several good used FX3's come up for sale as a result.

Thanks

I'd just call Foxpro and ask!

I'm pretty sure they will head you in the right direction. Understand they can't just give out all of their marketing secrets but I think they will at least educate you so you can decide.

There would be nothing wrong with picking up a used FX3 or FX5... that I do know!

If you get it now for your trip you can always turn and sell it and put the money twards the new one if you want. The resale from what I have seen is incredible if you can even find used ones.

End of September is a long ways off. Wait, and worst case scenario, if you cant get the latest and greatest from Cabelas, then you still have plenty of time to get your FX3 to tide you over. Still plenty of time...and good things come to those who wait. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
