Foxpro x24

I'm sure this has been beaten to death. But I've tried to do a search but I keep getting an error when I enter "x24". Not enough characters or something. So I apologize for the question.

I have an old icotech, it has about a dozen calls on it. I would like to upgrade and do it right. Fairly certain I've settled on the foxpro x24. My question is whether or not it's worth purchasing from MFK and getting the MFK Edition. Thx Pete

I run a FoxPro X2s and have quite a lot invested in MFK sounds. Mostly vocals, but I do have several prey distress sounds that have proven very effective as well. If I were investing in a new X24, I would for sure go with the MFK edition.

Just a thought to throw out there , you can't go wrong with the X24 and the Mfk sounds , but im always trying to be different then every other caller out there and especially the new callers that somehow gravitate to foxpro first. Check out busting Fur audio and Rick Palliat sound library. Tony Tebbe sounds and even Cal taylor coyotes sounds. You can load all these sounds on your foxpro except Rick's sounds I think is only for lucky duck. Sometimes it pays off to be a little different. Idk just thought I throw something out there extra to think about . Like I said though you can't go wrong with MFK .

I really like the FOXPRO X24, I use a Foxpro SP-XHD or SP-60 speaker along with the X24 on every calling stand I make. I want the sounds pointed in two different directions, not just one direction. For 18 years I have always used 2 speakers with my Foxpro callers.

The sounds with two sounds in them really sound good when one sound is going one way and the other sound is going a different way.

My X24 and SP-XHD and remote fit perfectly in a Ducks Unlimited camo blind bag, that also has room for extra batteries, gloves and ammo.

I run an X-24 with 582 sounds on it at this point. Aton of MFK sounds with a lot of Toby Tebbe sounds including a bunch of his full stands which I love. I also have Busting Fur sounds. All sounds from all if them have done very well for me here in North western Pennsylvania but I do not think you can go wrong with buying one from MFK, great sounds worth the money. You'll still have a lot of room to load more sounds if you want to also. 👍

Several good sound producing outfits out there but Tony T puts together a lot of good stuff and I do like the full stand scenerios especially. Hes got a lot of different rabbit distress as well as pup sounds and coyote vocals.
Edit to add...you can send any caller to Tony and he will load anything you want on it and send er right back to you.

My personal opinion. If you can afford them sure why not. If you have to sit home because now you don't have gas money to hunt no. Are they going to be a game changer, who knows. If a coyote comes in on a MFK sound would he have come in if you were playing a FP, hard to tell.

If I start getting in a slump changing caller sometimes breaks the slump, so maybe changing makers sound on the same caller might be a deal changer.

I will be surprised if you put a LOT more fur on the boards just makers sounds or even a caller.

I can vouch for the fact that the standard FoxPro factory sounds will call a coyote. I would say purchasing custom sounds is more of a luxury than a necessity.

Think the purchase of custom sounds is having sounds that the coyote hasn’t heard from the last umpteen hunters that called to him.
