I am looking for a free float Quad Rail hand guard for my AR and don't have the slightest clue where to start looking, or what to look for.
I have a Model 1 upper with a 24" bull barrel. The existing free float handguard I have measures 12.5". Do I need to get a quad rail that is the exact same length? I'm looking in that prices range of $100-$150.
After the purchase, then I have to figure out how to remove the hand guard. Is this something a newbie could figure out or do I need special tools to pull it off?
