Tagged a pair. Second trip out with the new thermal. Tagged one. Went to recover it too quickly and saw another running in. Luckily it was crazy windy and my sound was covered up, got the second. Got to run the thermal through its paces. The range finder is crazy fast and was able to pushing it over 1000 yards. It was cool watching the ballistic drop do its thing. The 120 HBC missed bones on the first coyote. You'll have to watch the Rumble Channel to see impact (click here). Really good pelt. On the second coyote it clipped the spine on the way out and left a half fist size exit.
Hopefully headed back out again this weekend. It's dropping in the mid-30's tonight. 90 is the high the weekend. Weekend night hunt temperatures in the 70's. Coyote hunting is hard this time of year. This was my 4th set of the night. I'm glad these two came out to play.
