Well Guys,
I experienced something the other day that was one of the funniest things I have seen in the woods. My father and I were taking my nephew out for our annual hunt over the holidays. I selected a spot were I have seen bobcats on numerous occasions. As we pulled up to the spot I was going to park(on the side of a gravel road)my Dad said look at that house cat. I looked and thought it was a Bobcat. After watching its behavior and seeing it look at us and not care that we were there a bit we decided it was a house cat. We pulled on up to it to within 15 yards and it turned broadside. Wouldnt you know it was a small Bobcat and it had that deer in the headlights look. We stopped and I grabbed the camera to get a little footage. It messed around in the ditch for a minute and then came out the other side. When they cleared the brush my Dad said there were two. No way I said. Sure enough to small Bobs were walking away at a slow pace. Of course all of this is on camera. As they got to a small drainage about 40 yards away that was flowing water pretty fast the first bounded over it with ease. We were talking about how adjile they are and how cool it was to watch them jump the creek. About that time the second Bob croutched down and bounded for the other side. As he reached the other side it was obvious he undershot his mark and was stuck clinging to the side of the drainage. We couldnt believe it. He fell in to the water and was washed about 10 feet before he made it back out. We all have seen a cat after it gets wet with that pitifull looking face. That was this cat to a T. We laughed so hard and my nephew loved it. We let the cats go for another day and proceeded to another spot. After it was all said and done we decided to review the footage to see how it turned out. I DIDNT HIT RECORD!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Oh well at least I know were there are two bobcats for next year, and one is a stupid little bugger. I hope you enjoyed the story and sorry I had no pics this time. Take it easy.
