I have a few questions on yote furs.I have a guy lined up to buy my pelts this coming fall and winter, but I wanted to know what kind of money you guys get out of your pelts, and what other kinds of things you guys do with them. Hanging them in trophy rooms and what not.

It varies from year to year, and a lot of factors take effect on top of that.

[*]Size
[*]Primeness
[*]Colors
[*]Fur condition
[*] How they were prepped or put up
[*] How they are presented
[*]Quantity
[/list]

The fur market is just as unpredictable as the stock market.
$6.00 bucks to $46.00 bucks across the board /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif Ya just never know.

When $3 is the top price for a raw hide, there is not much room for vairables. That $3 was for big prime coyotes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Texas may have a lot of them, they just are not worth anything. Same with bobcats. Cat average for my area was $35. Northern and Western states were getting into the hundreds of dollars.

That means I need to get about 20 cats to get the top notch upper I want, and those guys only have to get 2. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Now my guy up here would of gave me $50 to $100 for the real good texasw cats. But $25 to $75 for our cats. My yotes would bring $5 on the carcus and $7.5 to $10 for a real big nice one.

Depends a lot on where the fur is from, who you sell to, or which auction you send to. One guy from MT gives me the best cat prices, where Groenewold usually gives a better price for the fox and yotes. I would not even concider selling Groenewold another cat. T.20
