I got the same emial today, I was hoping to have mine for the upcoming PM hunt but oh well. I should have ordered sooner.

One thing I noticed for a $380.00 order they are staying in touch. I wish everyone thought like that. Even though I won't have it exactly when I wanted it, I am not upset because they are keeping me in the loop.

They've been pretty good in communicating with me also.

On 2nd of Jan I ordered a FoxPro 416 w/remote from them, I emailed them on Wed and asked them if I could upgrade my order to a 532? The got back to me in 4 hours and did the upgrade.

I got the same informatoin that Foxpro is back about 3 weeks .... so I most likely won't see my caller until the 1st week of Feb.

I also ordered a jack in the box from foxpro's site directly on Jan 3rd... wonder how long that's gonna take.

I want to apologize to everyone that ordered customized FOXPROs through us who are having to wait so long to get their units. The custom units as many of you know have to be programmed at the factory, and that is a big part of the wait. We have considered discontinuing custom units in the past because of this problem and just carrying several different pre-configured units in stock. I hope you understand. We were told earlier orders were taking 2 weeks, so that is what we told all our customers. Perhaps it wasn't anticipated such a sudden surge in orders, I don't know, but I have heard they hired 4 new technicians to help speed things up and to keep up with the flow. I am now being told units are taking 3 to 4 weeks.

Gary thanks for posting, I understand your idea of keeping units in stock. I believe that no matter how hard you try you would not order the units exactly like I might want it. So I would perfer to wait for a custom unit.

I offer this idea though. How about you stocking unprogrammed units. For those of us who order a PG1A with our foxpros we could send an email with a coupon code or such to foxpro and they in turn could email us the 8, 16, or 32 sounds we paid for in the price of the unit.

1. Foxpro wouldn't have to spend time programing.

2. I could put the sounds I ordered on the unit in any order I wanted.

3. You could carry a small inventory of "blank" units ready to ship.

Just a thought. Wouldn't work for everybody but it would sure would have worked for me and I am sure many others.

Gary, I have no problem waiting for the unit the unit programmed the way I want. Most of us understand the wait when it comes to a great product that is popular. I think Biker might have a good solution but you'll still have to wait for both the unit and the sounds. Unless FoxPro figured a way to let people with a code that comes with the unit download the sounds off their web site. Don
