Not having much luck with the toms this year, but they are coming to our place a little. Not the amount of birds around as in the last couple of years and they are not roosting on our place, but maybe before the end of the season I will be able to get one of these toms /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

That would be a nice one TxGal, all you need to do is just hang on to the other end of that cam with one hand and your scattergun in the other. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Tried that lots last year, when the birds were coming by every morning leaving the roost and back by on the way back to bed and it never worked. Already tried it a few times this year also and so far no luck. I did hear several different toms Sunday morning that I thought might be on their way and they even answered my calling some, but I never did see them.

Nice Pics TXGal,

quick question for you. How high off the ground are you putting your camera? I have been trying to snap some turkey pics with my game cam, but it doesn't seem to want to sense them. I have a cheapie stealth cam, and I have got plenty of deer, elk, and even a bear, but no tukey. I know turkey are in the area (killed one last year) and have seen tracks along trails in front of my camera, so I'm just curios as to your camera placement?

thanks,

Dan.

thats what it looked like in your pics. I am usually primarily scouting for elk and deer, so I put my camera about 4 ft or so up, I guess next time I use it I will try it lower and see what I get.

thanks,

Dan.
