Garmin Xero C1 Chronograph

I just got one of these new Chronographs from Garmin this morning.
I will state I have not had much use with firearms chronos. But this thing is really slick.
Its the size of a Go Pro and light.
So far I have only used it on my bow. Which is a nice feature as it uses Radar to measure you can use it for about anything from BB guns to Magnum caliber rifles.
From just playing around with it in the back yard with my bow it is very accurate and all on one screen I can track my speed, and KE and max and min FPS.
You can also change what settings are displayed on the screen.
It will give you a summary and also the SD and deviation of FPS.

It also has an App that you can connect to your smart phone and will have all of the same info.

I will try and get some of the guns out of the safe and get it to the range and give some other opinions on it as soon as I can.
Will be nice to have something to track loads that is small and easy to throw in the range bag.

If anyone has any questions on it let me know and ill do my best to answer.

I've had an Oehler 33 since the late 80's, & have not been tempted by any of the latest whiz bang chronos that have come out since, but this new Garmin will probably find a home here.

It is very impressive just for how small it is and the features it has for multiple platforms is what I like about it.
I can set my bow up and know its speeds and my guns also.

I got to test one at the K&M Shooting complex last month after the Gap Grind match.
It will be a real game changer and is why hundreds of LabRadar’s have been seen for sell at cheap prices and new ones dropped over a 100.00 as well. Mine will show up here in a few day.
I will probably keep my LabRadar so my grandkids can maybe sell it to Cracker Barrel in 50 years šŸ˜Ž

Are they heavy enough to stay on a bench in a moderate wind? Pretty pricey to have blow off on the ground.. I've seen pistols in cases blow off and hit our concrete floor. Not pretty.

That I cant say.
They weigh about what a Go Pro does.
It comes with a small tripod. It does have a normal 1/4x20 thread hole on the bottom. You can put it on a larger tripod if needed.
I wouldnt worry about it blowing over while sitting on a bench.

I've seen the wind at my club blow metal rifle cases off the tables. I saw a metal pistol case with three Kimber 45's hit the ground one day as well. That was not a pretty sight. The Garmin looks pretty small and easy to blow over to me.

I could see it blowing over/off but it will screw into any tripod so you can swap to a heavier metal one easy enough.
