Gas block leaking?

I noticed when cleaning my DPMS .223 this moring, that my gas block has black build up where the tube is attached to it. I am assuming it is leaking around the tube. Any idea what is going on and what I need to do. Thanks, Don
 
Clean it, make sure it is lined up over the vent hole in the barrel, it is normal. Make sure the gas tube is open.
 
That's normal. The gas block, barrel, and gas tube are not press fit nor do they have any seals to keep them perfectly sealed. They'll leak a little at all points the gas can escape due to the high pressure. The design of the AR15 has extra gas available for cycling the action so unless you start to see short-stroking then it's a non-issue.
