GATOR TAIL, IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER

Well, here I am at the house getting the gas burner ready for the fresh gator tail dinner. I do mean fresh, just happen to run into the ole boy yesterday and it will be frying in the iron skillet in about 30 minutes. Now this ole gator was a little small, just seven feet and dressed out real nice. I cut the tenderloin out and ran it through the cube steak machine. Now I have a few beers on Ice, cole slaw and nice bowl of cocktail sauce. It doesn't get any better than this. Cooper17HMR

Dang Cooper, that sounds good! I've never had gator but would love to try it. Can you describe the meat? Tastes like? (don't say chicken

) Light meat, dark meat? It must be good if you are cooking it up!

I am stuffed, it was great, and the beer is ice cold. I must say and my wife said the same thing, that this gator was delicious. I cut the ole boy up in chunks and breaded it in fish fry and I am telling you that it doesn't get any better than this.
The meat is white, and has a great texture, would remind you of fried grouper or fried lobster. I have had many a fried lobster and I compare fried gator to fried lobster. Now this gator was really nice and perfect eating size. The tenderloin was tender and tasty. Don't compare gator to chicken, gator is much better. I will get the camera out next time and snap a few for you guys to see. Must go get another cold beer, it doesn't get any better than this. Cooper17HMR
