I recently purchased a giessele ssa-e. I consider the 3 gun as it has a faster reset, but in the end I could't make myself buy a straight trigger. I know it sounds stupid, but that was it. Im very happy with the ssa-e
willy, I can't personally say, but I have read posts of people claiming double taps with that trigger somewhere.
I have the SSA-E too but I was just talked into a different trigger on a new build. I think I like it better than the SSA-E. you may want to consider one sometime.
I have the SD-3G on my Short Barrel AR. It's the slickest, nicest single stage trigger I've used. The flat trigger bow takes some getting used to, but the "foreign" feeling gets forgotten pretty fast when you get started shooting.
I have two other Geissele triggers, but didn't really want a two stage for this particular rifle.
Yah. Another note. I have mine on a short barrel as well. I wouldn't put one on a gun unless it was going to be used for 3gun, real actual combat or a dedicated pig rifle (I use mine for 3G and swine).
I have a RRA two stage on my specialized dynamics that I use for predator calling. Or back when I used to have fregging time.
I have the Stag 3G rifle with that trigger and absolutely love it! For hunting I much prefer it over a two stage as there is very little reset and you can get a quick follow up shot if needed
Smoothest, cleanest breaking trigger I ever shot!

And the guy next to me.
Hasn't happened to me yet, but haven't done any rapid fire with it either. It does have a very short reset, so I'm guessing if one is used to a two stage trigger it could happen pretty easy
I installed it today, I used the 3.5 pound spring. It is very nice. I will try to get to the range, soon. I can install the 4.5 spring if it goes nuts.
I had a hunting buddy who was getting the old double tap. Found out he was over lubricating his trigger housing and that was causing what he thought was a problem. I bought his trigger housing group and and large can of 3 in 1 and have been very happy with the results. If you want to avoid double tapping cut down on the grease.
Pulling the rifle firmly into your shoulder is what most people are failing to do when they get a bump fire/double tap on an AR with a light, short-resetting trigger.
