There are pros and cons, but unless animals start losing their eyesight I am keeping mine.
Mine is pretty new and I only used it through this archery season. I had so many deer look and me for a little while then just turn their head and continue on their way. Before they would stare then bolt. I even had a Pope & Young 9-pointer sneak up to me, 8 yards away staring at me as I was laying flat on the ground. I have never been worried about a deer being that close, but I have never had to look up to a 141" rack only steps away. Even that big guy just kept on his way, he was within 15 yards for around 3-4 minutes.
They work, big time in my opinion. I just took mine out coyote hunting for the second time yesturday. It may be a different story having a rifle and blasting any dog you can find. But deer hunting situations where you are letting a lot of animals walk by, its incredible.
Even had an American Kestrel sraring at me for a couple minutes before it decided to dive bomb be to see if I was someting alive. I have never had to play chicken with a falcon before. I was looking right into its eyes as it had its wings back coming straight at my head. The falcon won the game of chicken, it was about 5 yards away before I started flailing my arms around.
I had an unforgetable archery season this year. I would say half of it was because of the new land we were hunting and half was because I was in a guille suit all seasion.
I only wear a guille jacket by the way. I have the pants also but they are a real pain.
