hey fellas, am going to get a ghille suite my plan is for the desert/ fall color because, it will mostly be used in hardwood forests in fall and winter(no snow around here though) but i have never seen a ghillie in real life so would like yals advice on color selection? Thanks, Brad

After using a ghillie suit for 2 years I am convinced they are greatly beneficial (took 22 coyotes total last year and only 3 spotted me).

Their greatest benefit stems from the fact that they "camo" your outline and not that they blend into the color scheme.

Think any color would work for you! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I bought a ghillie suit poncho kit for $43 from the ghilliesuits.com ebay store. It comes with the net and 7lbs of jute(not crappy burlap strips). You can get a custom kit put together for your terrain at their regular website for about $65(there's a lot of colors to choose from). It took me about 30 hrs. to complete, nowhere near the 7hrs its supposed to, but it turned out awesome. I still have enough leftover net and jute to make a gunwrap, boonie cover, and pack cover with. Taking the time to match your camo to your terrain is worth it in the long run and you get the sense of pride knowing that your suit is just as good or as better than some of the $200 pre-made manufactured suits out there. One shot, one hit, one less out there.
