Going to build this shooting table

Nice table, but I think I'd make mine about 5 or 6 inches shorter. I'd also like to build a heavy duty non-portable bench for home use. Anybody got any good plans?

If you want one that will be there, and if do not want to move it,make the top from cement 1.5"/2" thick. Make legs from pipe in cement and do your swivel, adjustable seat on the rear third leg. Coat it with the stuff they put on garage floors.

This is the one I built for home and it is just the ticket, extremely sturdy and can be used for left or right hand shooters. I built mine after seeing one on here from another member.

I really like the RuggedBuddy folding leg set plans for
a portable bench! I can use the leg sets for some portable
saw horses, and when I need a portable shooting bench, bolt
a top to them, and away I go.

But for a more permanent range option, I built the one
in this picture. I didn't have plans, but this one
was built using benches built for a public range near
my home, as a model. I changed the design up a bit to allow
for this bench to be pulled around by an ATV, if placement
needed to change. It is built from 2 inch treated lumber,
and coated heavy duty deck screws. It handles right and
left handed shooters, and is as solid as a rock. I can
take a few more pictures, and provide some basic dimensions,
if anyone is interested.

Dan I paid 38.00 with free shipping. Didn't see the 32.85 so good snag. Will take some pictures when I get this built. Rick

I purchased 2 pairs(38.00 ea), on Amazon, too. I saw the post,
and didn't see any offered for less.

I need to use them as portable saw horses, but will use them
as a portable shooting bench when I need one. I will develop
a removable top that attaches to one or both pairs of legs.

I'm sorry for the confusion.... they are 38.00... but they had a link underneath that sais... 1 new 32.85... I clicked on it and it went through... but that link only had one in stock. But they are still great at 38.00... I would have paid that as well.

I built the same table this year to use in SD for a pd shoot. When I got home, I did make some changes. I used 3/4" plywood for the top, but it had a tendacy to "swag" in the middle, after the weight of gun, ammo, bags, etc. I ran a piece of oak 1"x4" the length of the table, and re-attached the plywood top. This added more strength. I also cut about 2" off the rear of the table to make transporting easier. Hope this helps!

I have taller seat for mine, for my Wife and Grandsons. It clamps to the standard seat. They shoot a lot better. Just an idea. A soft pad made my Wife smile.

Here is my table in use in SD. Once you get it level and the legs stable, it did a great job.

Used a folding dove stool (with boat cushion) for a seat. Worked great.

NR123 that looks like fun right there. I have always told myself I was going on a pd shoot. Might be after I retire but I going. I was going to run a 1x4 the lenght also and attach the buddy legs to it. (what I think you did) Thanks for the pictures. Rick
