Fixing to start reloading for my .270 and wanting to stay 130gr or maybe 140. I'm a big Sierra fan but thought about trying some hornady stuff. Shoot nosler ballistic tips out of my 30-06 and not wanting to go with any ballistic tips in future as of now. This wil be mainly a deer gun will be starting with rl22 and maybe imr 3450. Wanting something that does well on deer to 300-400yds if needed. What do y'all think?

Sierra 140GR game king and IMR 4350 works for me and drops deer like the hammer of THOR!!! I can't say on anything else I got lucky and this combo shot so well I just stuck with it

I have reloaded for the 270 for35 years. I have only used one load.....a 130 grain Sierra GameKing and 60.0 grains of H4831. It is accurate and it drops deer as if they had been struck with a bolt of lightning.

130 or 140 Nosler Accu-Bond, I shoot 140 AB in my 270 and they are an outstanding bullet. Shoot great and retain around 65-70%.

I have had really good luck with 130 grn Hornady Interbond. Worked really good on a bull elk this fall. This is the fourth hunt that I have used them on. Previously killed a mule deer, black bear, and cow elk as well. I am also a fan of Sierra 130 grain boat tails or any boat tail in general. That is plenty of bullet for deer. I also use 60 grns of h4831, partial to the SC.

I've shot alot of different bullets thru the 270 Win., and the best performing bullet that I have found is the 140 gr. Sierra Game King.

It's not pretty or fancy, but it is a consistent and reliable bullet for medium size game.

I'm thinking in going to try sierras then hornady sst and then nosler accu bond if I make it that far. My .243 spit the sierras so well I got rid of the other goodies I was going to try

Why no ballistic tips? I use a 140 g BT in mine and the last two deer I shot were 1 shot kills! I shot a huge 226lb buck at point blank (10)yards that dropped instantly and a 150lb buck at 210 yards that ran about 20 yards! Can't beat the BT's for deer!

Second that! 140 grn Nosler Ballistic tips on top of 50 grn of H3450 works great for me.
