Good range day

My bud called and wanted to shoot this morning. I had three different rifles I wanted to test loads with but it was a little windy and decided to make that another day and grabbed the 22-250AI. I shoot a 52 grain Berger pushed by a load of varget powder. As typical, a 5mph wind at the house and a 20 mph wind at the club but we decided to shoot anyway as its Oklahoma, the wind always blows. First three rounds was decent but my rifle has done better. I set the Garmin up for the next three rounds, a 3865, a 3863 and a 3835 and they went into about a 3/8" group but about 3/4 inchs to the right. I blamed that on wind. I seem to always take something to the club and the 22-250 just sets, but when I take it, it does the same thing everytime.....shoots little bitty groups really fast.

I bought this rifle many many moons ago at the Wanamaker. It was a Varmint Special in a walnut stock. At the time it was just a heavy barrel Remington in a pretty stock to me. I replaced the stock with a Stocky's composite and sold the wood to my gunsmith. I worked a load up with 37 grains of Varget and a 52 grain Berger. My best 5 shot group was in the mid .4's at 200yds. That's the same load that I was shooting yesterday. I've never tried anything else since.
