I just bought a nef 10ga turkey gun. I'm going to try it out this week end on coyotes, I have some 00buck shot that should roll one at 50+ yards. Friday I, ordering ether a nef handi or h&r ultra in 270, or 22-250 I'm not sure wich one yet probably the handi 22-250 it's only $199 at wally world about $80 cheaper then the ultra and the only differnce it the stock.

I used to have one of those 10gauge shoulder slammers. I'd get all my friends together and we would shot skeet with it. The rule was if you missed you had to keep going. After five shots or so, your brains were a little loose and you felt like you had been in a car accident. Have fun with it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Hi Federal is still making lead copper platted BB's in a 2 1/4oz load. I like them and i have used Fed #1 buckshot and #4 buckshot and has all work good out of my Rem SP 10ga VM

I have shot 10's for years I dont have a problem with the recoil yesterday I shot 15 times in a roy no prob. my wife even shot it and shes ave. size women she said it kick but not bad. It kicks a lot less then my mossberg 835 with 3 1/2"

Do yourself a favor and fill the stock bolt hole of the 10ga with shot and add either a slip on Limbsaver or a grind-to-fit Limbsaver, your body will be glad you did!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I would definitely pattern that 10ga before you take it out hunting. You may be surprised by the results. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
