Incidental catch in a coyote snare. I called the game warden and he came and got it. Wish a guy could keep incidental catches when they are clearly not caught on purpose but I guess I understand their point.

Sorry you had to turn it in. I know it has to regulated but at least you have pictures. We have the same situation with River Otter here in Nebraska. Otter running out of our ears but protected. We may be close to having a season along with Cougar. I have turned two Otter in over the years.

you did the right thing by reporting it but you should be able to keep the hide.the can do all the studies on the body.you will see it in some fish and game office mounted, paid for by your license fees

Wolves with Mange.. hahahahahhaha

Too bad you couldn't keep it.. Are you able to trap for wolves?
I would hope that if you could you should be able to keep it if you are allowed to hunt for them..
It's rough to loose that pelt.. From what i have seen they are worth a few hundered bucks.

Nice!
The comparison to the Coyote's an eye open er for allot of folks too.
My buddy up in Bonners Ferry sent me this one.

An old trapper I know stopped by with two of em in the back of his truck last year.
Boy did that fill up the bed of an S-10. LOL

Repete, just an FYI...We do have a season for wolves. In fact, we have two seasons. One for rifles an
one for trapping. We hit our quota with 413 taken. Was a good year!
