Just wondering if anyone else uses their GPS to mark their calling spots.
I started doing this a couple years ago. Usually just leave the GPS in the pickup and mark a waypoint there. After getting home I transfer waypoints to the "National Geographic Kansas Topo" program that I have. I then adjust the coordinates to the actually call location. I also then make notes on the program as to how many called, how many shot, date, time & weather conditions. I can then look at my Topo program and see how long its been since I called a certain spot/area to make plans for future hunts in that area.
I guess I would qualify as being a GPS nut. First one I bought was in 1997 and it was slower than molasses with no mapping on it. I currently have a GarminMap76CSx and a Garmin Oregon 400t. Use them all the time and always have one of them turned on and plugged in in the pickup.
