Got a triple on gray foxes in Texas back in October. Total time on the stand was about 7 minutes. First one came in to Platinum Gray Fox. Second one to Nutty Nuthatch. Back to Platinum Gray Fox for the third one. DNT Zulus was my optic.

I just don’t think their intelligence is on par with other canids. I believe they think they’re bigger than what they actually are. Might be something to that saying… What you don’t know, can’t hurt you!

I like how they are so quick to respond to the call. If you set up close to where they are they are coming in----and fast. If I don't have something come in within five minutes I start thinking they just aren't around.

Really cool at night when I am hunting with a light to see those eyes bouncing along as they come in.

When I first started trapping it didn't take long to learn that Gray foxes stay in very small areas compared to coyotes. About 5 days was the time limit that I could catch Gray foxes before I needed to move those traps. With coyotes I could go up to a month and still be catching some coyotes.
