The barrel is not floated its a synthetic stock.
Since you have the glass, bed the rifle and float the barrel.
Check the scope, scope rings and mounts for damage???
I had a rifle that the screws in the front mount were lose. The mounts were alum. I changed them to steel. It fixed the problem.
