gun coating

Well my new build is about 2 weeks out from getting finished, and im looking for coating options. The action in a matte finish and the barrel is stainless. I have a guy who has dipped all of my gun but im not real sure I want to leave my action matte in fear of rust. What do you guys think

I prefer duracoat from a working stand point and haven't seen a difference in durability ( although, ceracoat has a "stronger" reputation)...I don't think you can go wrong with either of them.

I like duracote also. If it will fit in an over I'll use some kgguncote and parkerize it first, then preheat and put the kgguncote on it. It's a real tough finish.

A matte finish is nothing to sweat, providing you take care of your guns. I prefer Cerakote as far as coatings go......

Greg does very good work. He has done three AR's for me...I had all three duracoated.
