I have killed with both. Never had a DRT with a bow. A bow kills by hemmorage and/or blood loss. A bullet kills by that and the added advantage of Hydrostatic shock.
yeah i think the gun would kill much faster, i think of it was would you rather be hit by a golf ball or a bowling ball dropped on you head? the bowling ball delivers much more force down range and it still pokes holes in tissue like an arrow
A deer gets shot in the lungs with a bullet sometimes they drop right there from the shock but they still kick and try and run for about 10 seconds and you shoot one through the lungs with a razor sharp broadhead the shock isn't there but they die just as fast I've seen deer run 20 yards and fall over and not even twitch from a bow. The key to fast kills with arrows is shot placement and scary sharp blades.
Well I've seen deer with arrows stuck in there head, in there eyes and other such things, I don't think a deer will surive a shot to the head or an eyeball with a high power rifle.
With a lung and heart shot the arrow and the bullet kill in about the same amount of time. The difference is the bullet has the ability to break major bones and will put the animal down in it tracks. As far as being deadly the broadhead is as deadly as a bullet from a high powered rifle. You don't see anyone trying to stop a charge from a bear or cat with a bow because you have to disable the skeletal system to put them down quick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
