Gunsmith to put 280 Ackley together

I got all my parts in and ready to get the barrel chambered. My gunsmith wife is sick and really does not know when he will get back to working on guns. I can't say I blame him. Something like that gets your priorities straight quick.

Does anyone recommend a gunsmith to put this project together?

Call Greg Young of Southern Precision rifles. He loves working with Ackleys. He just built me a 243 AI (It should arrive tomorrow) and he's building me a 223 AI now.

He's done a 243 AI and a 280 AI for Tim Nitzke too.

I've had great luck with Jon Beanland in OK. He's built me a light weight 7-08 that shoots lights out and a .243 AI that is on it's way in the UPS truck as I type this. He recently built a website linked below. My .243 AI rifle is in the "Recent Builds" section and it's Rifle #9.

I've got a couple .280 AI's in the works and have thought about using Greg Young as well. I spoke with Jon about the .280 AI and I don't believe he has built one yet. However, I may just be the first customer to request it from him.
