H110 powder for 22 hornet?

Did you look through the Hodgdon site & see what they offer as far as data? I know you asked for a 'pet load', but you never know. I'd start with data from a reputable source & go from there.

I don't load the 22 Hornet, but see it calls for a slower handgun powder or very fast rifle powder.

H-110 is not a very flexible powder - there are better choices for thr 22 Hornet.

H110 is what I use in the Hornet. Works great. 40 gr. Blitz or V Max and H110 is very accurate. I don't remember the load in gr. but I got it out of the Hornady or Serria book. Somewhere in the 13.? gr. level as I recall. MV is around 2700 to 2800 depending on the charge. I just bought a lb of lil-gun because I can't find H110 here. Supply and demand, go figure. Don't hesitate to use the H110, it's a great powder.

I use 9.0 gr. of H-110 with 40 V-Max. Pretty accurate in my T/C Pistol.
For my Hornet and my K-Hornet my fav powder is AA-1680.

I use H 4198 & Horn. 40 V Max 10.9 grns 205 primers I reload for a friend of mine and he uses RL 7. i'd have to go dig up the recipe.

I've tried 296/110 and I would not put it at the top of my list.

Lil Gun and 1680 are so much better. I use both and have been shooting the Hornet for a lot of years.

I have used H110 for light bullets in the hornet and it is allright, a 40 grain bullet and 11.8 is the max in the Hornady manual. It is a good powder with the 30 grain Varmint Grenades.
