Hand made MEC Sizemaster repair part

So somewhere along the line I lost the shell plate out of the priming station on my SizeMaster. Not one to be found locally.
So I made one. Use a 10 gauge shotgun hull, and cut it off right above the brass with a fine tooth hacksaw. Deprime it and drill out the primer pocket to just slip over the reprime pin. 5/16 does the trick. Go to ACE and get a "fair to medium" coil spring with about a 5/16 ID.

Works like store-bought.

I should say, this is for a 12 gauge press.

Good thinking, it's always nice to be able to repair your own stuff. I bought an ancient Herters progressive shotshell press from ebay years ago. It took some thinking outside the box to adapt parts from other stuff to make it all work.
