Handmade Elk calls

I’ve bought close to two dozen custom predator calls off this forum from many different builders over the years and I proudly display them when they’re not in use.
I’m finally able to go chase elk and would rather spend my $ on higher quality handmade stuff from guys here if I can.
Does anyone on here make elk calls? Handheld preferred but I’m not opposed to diaphragms.
Feel free to pm me or post here and I’ll keep watch
I know there’s plenty of production call makers out there but I just love the custom handmade stuff. Thanks

Really? Is it just reed pressure and quick burst of air?
My findings just messing around is that a med voiced howler is about the perfect cow call.
Pretty much blow a short howl backwards and your %90 of the way to making a cow call. Start at the tip of the reed and slide up the toneboard. I have been finding that a large steer horn howler gives a great range of elk vocals. I have been practicing and can even make a half decent bugle.

That’s good to know. I’ll start playing around with mine. Thanks

Well....there is a difference...sometimes. Almost any open reed call will do it...cow/calf sounds Im talking about..there are some that have a certain thing in the toneboard that helps it make true elk mews.

Kerry Carver did have some elk calls on his site last time I looked. Not sure right off who else on here offers elk calls specifically.
