Has Savage discontinued the Stevens #200?

Just as the title asks....Did Savage discontinue making the Stevens #200 bolt-action?

I have one of the older Stevens 200s.
Years ago, when I mounted my scope, I couldn't find any factory bases for the 200.
So I found a package of 2-pc Leupold bases designed for a Remington...that holes in one of the pieces matched the holes in the receiver. And I bought 2 sets, so I could "rob" parts from both.
Also, I couldn't find a decent set of rings that would allow me to mount the 50mm scope. So, I found a super-cheap set of "Iron-Sighter" brand 64mm rings, and used them instead.

Well, after all of these years, and no troubles, I feel it's time later this year, to switch out my 50mm Simmons scope, and upgrade to a Nikon.
I figure that if I'm going to do that, I might as well replace the bases & rings with the correct ones.

But, when I went to Savage's website, to see if I could buy new bases, I found that the #200 is no longer listed as a model.
The only Stevens guns that are listed are a few shotguns.

So, does anyone know if they still make the 200, or know of a good place I can buy the correct bases & decent-quality 50mm rings (if I replace the scope, I'll be going w/a ProStaff 3x9x50BDC, or a ProStaff5 2.5x10x50 Nikoplex)

Could the reciever be re drilled, tapped to accept standard base mounts? Would it be worth it to you? Then you could have the option of different height rings and such for different scope. Just a toss out.

You can find the Stevens 200 bases at Walmart, same as a Savage 10, they're Weaver style. Also have Weaver rings, mostly medium, but sometimes I do see tall size also. Not sure if you need extra tall for 50mm though. That's where I got my scope mounts for my Stevens 200 .243 and mounted a 4x scope with medium rings...fit perfect.

I believe they're taking the 'cheap' versions off market to put emphasis on the axis as their budget line.

Just like texasgunclass said, the Stevens 200 is essentially a savage 10/110 with a Stevens logo.
They discontinued them because they weren't making enough money on them. They axis/edge model has a much higher profit margin than the 200 did. It sucks, but if you are building, and look, you can still find some Stevens 200s laying around.
