Have the bushnell Banner series gotten better ?

i picked up a 4/12/40 banner before new years. to put on my 760 3006.

i read reviews for about a week and went with the banner since it was $80 bucks cheaper then nikon.

it seemed like right after i bought it i found a bunch of negitive reviews but they were from years ago ( 07-12 ) so i guess ill just have to see.

are there any bushnell gurus who know if things changed hands or differed.? i know cheap scopes arent bullet proof but i got it for coyore and its all i can justify right now.
 
I bought a Bushnell Scopechief.? Which is no longer made by them.? Mounted it on my Ruger M 77 270 Rifle back in 1980.? Love this scope it has never failed me in any Weather etc.Back then Bushnell was all USA Made.? Now they are all made either in China,? Or where ever Abroad.? Other than Leupold,? & Burris.? There are not many USA made Scopes any more.? I may be wrong.? I am looking into a Nikon Pro Staff Scope.? read excellent reviews on them etc.?
 
for the money they are junk. pay the extra $50 and get Nikon. I had a Bushnell banner shotgun scope on my slug gun and after a few years of just doing the initial sight in and check zero every year before the season the scope broke and I was told by Bushnell pay to ship to them $25 and pay to ship back $25 and there was a possibility they wouldn't warranty it. I figured if I'm going to waste $50 in shipping to possibly be told screw you I would just buy another scope and then I found the Nikon for $30 more than what the new banner would have been. Nikon prostaff would be the lowest level I would mess with.
