HD Night Vision Camera

I was trying to use my cam corder on that rat hunt video early this year. But it was dark because the camera couldn't pick up enough light.
So I put together a new HD camera that is working fine.
Here is a video of the build.

my hat is off to you for having the patience and the engineering ability along with the tools to put this all together.

I would have given up long before completion... lol

The end result gives you some really high quality video and looks second to none!

Great job Chuck Hunter. Ditto to what Sureshot said. Seems your patience and experimentation paid off. You did a good job with the tutorial as well.

I'm anxious to see a video of it in use in the field.

Thank you gentleman.
I want to start using that HD night camera. In February and March I was setting out bait to lure in the raccoons down by the creek across the street from my house.
By April when the weather was relatively warm and dry, I had raccoons coming to the bait site once and even twice per night. I was still trying to build the camera, but I was getting good trail cam footage every morning.
About the time the camera build was coming together and I was well on my way to using it, the rain came.
It rained for 23 straight days. Then it was cold and unsettled weather for many days after.
I was getting good trail cam footage of rats, muskrats, skunks and raccoons until all that rain. But then the grass grew until it was 3 then 4 feet tall.
Now the whole dynamics have changed and it's hard to see anything coming my way in that tall grass.
Here is a sample of the trail cam footage I recorded earlier this spring.

I have a table and chair set up in the trees where it's dark in the left part of this video. Now the grass is so tall, I can't even see that corn stand.

That was a lot of work putting that nice video together, not to mention all the machining and electrical configurations, very nice job indeed!
