I recently got a HDTV with built in Tunner, Today I bought an RCA # ant706 Amplified inside/outside HDTV antenna, was wondering if anyone owned one of these, and your Opinion of it........

Thank you........RickH2

I don't have one but I'm curious.
How many local stations can you recieve? Do they transmitt in HD? It's great to have an antenna for the local stations anyway because your not at the mercy of a $30 cable or satalite bill. Did you buy a directional rotor? It helps a lot to be able to aim the antenna. Good luck with it.

Hi Woodcock,

Presently im getting 16 analog channles and 6 HD digital stations, this antenna mounts on wall behind the tv and is a/c powered 10 Amp.........can be mounted outside and painted if you wish, has range of 160 miles........

its a RCA 706A and bought it at wal-Mart $68.00 it looks like engine prop (old wood style) with rounded blades.....

Im Impressed.......I refuse to pay comcast $52.00 a month for a HDTV box.......when I can get Local for FREE.....

All tv stations by 2009 have to be HDTV by federal Law...

All All Analog tvs will no longer work after that time with-out a cable box......

Hey Rick, that's great. 160 channels? I get 3 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif (on a good day) and they'll probably have to shutdown if there made to go HD. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif That's a good price too, and you did'nt have to mess around on the roof? Even better!!
