Heart Shot

One of my favorite spots finally had the beans taken out, so with the favorable wind, I took the advantage.
This field had the usual bean & corn strips, so I set up facing west, slight wind from my right.

Set the caller out next to the upper corn strip, so as to make them commit to the open coming in from downwind.
Took about 15 minutes and finally had a customer....wait, what?..... Bobcat!

I had shut the caller off right away when he was in the middle of the strip, he stopped, then eased almost to the caller.
I snapped a quick pic, then I switched to a howl and blew him out of there...ha ha...

I decided it was too early to quit, so I fired the caller back up with the bunny blues.
Another 5 minutes went by & a coyote raced out of the corn heading for the caller.
By the time I got on the gun, he was heading back to where he came from, but stopped & turned broadside just short of the corn when I did a howl.
Ker-thump, he did a 360 throwing blood, & into the corn.

Made it to the scene of the crime, and followed the blood trail & found him only 6 rows in.

1st time using the video on recoil of the scope. Downloaded the video & the Bobcat pic the following day, & for some reason the pic is gone, & the video now won't load.

Luckily I took a pic with the scanner. Adult male.

Let me guess 223 caliber…
Joking…. joking!… 😂

That’s great alf! Glad you had some action and things worked out.

I 100% rely on RAV as I really never remember to hit record. I’m not out there to be a videographer anyway. I do like to be able to see the shot footage though to see how things went down. I assume videos need to be be uploaded through some other host site on here? I know I just drop pics right from my phone but never messed around with videos.

The dastardly 22 DTI strikes again.....

I had no problem downloading the video to my desktop & watching them the next day, but for some odd reason now they won't open or play anymore to host them over on YT. It just says we can't get into your local storage right now, try again later. ???
