Help! I can't break an A2 buffer tube loose from the lower.

I want to put a mil spec MOE stock on my old bushmaster but I can't budge the old A2 buffer tube. I have the lower in a mag vise block and even with a torch I can't break it free.

What's the best way to protect my lower so I can put more torque in the tube? I think the factory put a lot of loc tight on it.

Thanks for any advise!

You've tried heating the threads for the buffer tube and using the armorer's tool?

Take it to a gun smith, they're insured for that I think.

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Do you recommend doing so with the A2 grip vertical?

Depends on which direction it is being rotated.
