I personally like hunting new ground, one of the great things about the PM Conventions was hunting/calling my way there and back, plus it was held in different places.  When it was in NM I hunted my way from WA to NM, liked the country I moved there and then had to hunt my way north to Elko NV.

Keep it simple, have everything handy, my caller hangs on the front of my shoulder strap so I can walk in and place the caller, my decoy doubles as a walking stick so everything is set to go no unloading and setting up.  My rifle, seat and sticks are on my back so I get to where I'm going to sit there are no zippers or Velcro to mess with.    I don't concern myself with hiding too much, a backing bush to sit in front of, a yucca or cactus even a power pole or fence corner posts work.  I like to set up my stand  so I'm not in the coyotes line of sight and stay still.  I don't mess with scope, scan with binoculars,  my remote is Velcro to my thigh so it doesn't slide off and it takes minimal movement to make changes.  I try to only slowly rotate my head to scan for incomers trying not to swivel my whole body.  I like remotes that I can run without looking down at them.  I rarely change sounds just volume.
