Help me pick a Cartridge

With simular goals i went 6arc, match chamber. My buddy has a ruger predator, I had to add a ruger patrol, and they flat out drive tacks. 16" pipe on the patrol, 60gr sierras @ 3270, or 88gr bergers at 2785. Hopefully soon I'll have a 26" heavy palma howa done to compare it too.

6arc is just a hornady spin on a 6ppc... no speed demon, but it sure holds some accuracy records.

I’ve had or have 6br, 6bra, 6xc, 6 creed and 243. The br and bra are amazing for there accuracy and easy of loading. With mdt mags I’ve never had an issue with a br or bra. In the 6’s or 22’s

Here is a few yotes with the 22 bra and a 1 10 shot and 2 5 shot groups with the 6 bra

From the lens of ordering a barrel blank, a reamer, and then getting the blank fit and chambered, seven months doesn't sound too bad. But, from the lens of buying a prefit, seven months and not having it in time for this season does sound like a bummer.

You going to wait for it, or make a different selection?

I'm checking with Crown Ridge, they might be quicker. However, I never heard of them until today. I like doing business with NSS, but I'm not very patient 😕
Also, now I'm leaning toward 6BRA

Anything on the BR case is gold.

Side track, but not really. When I had my most recent new barrel chambered in .22 Dasher I had heard a lot about Alpha Dasher brass. So I tried it. But I also made up some cases on Lapua BR brass. After a decent amount of testing, I like the old Lapua BR brass better. It has more capacity. Which I can squeeze more velocity out of. Destructive testing showed zero advantage for the Alpha primer pockets which I had heard and read were much tougher and capable of higher pressures and velocity. Absolutely not so in my barrel.

My 6mm ARC is a factory Howa Mini 20"HB, 75gr Speer HPs are under MOA and is a dandy coyote rig.n Athlon 2-12x42.
I was going to bring up the 6 arc as well. I have the same rig as aws, only with an ares 2.5-15x50 and its been great. Op, if theres any chance at all you might have to or want to shoot factory ammo, this is deff a route to consider.

I'm kinda leaning toward the 6GT for feeding from the mag.
Or the Dasher and just single feed.

Guys say this a lot, but frankly, I've been shooting Dashers since 1999, and I just haven't seen all of these feeding issues people talk about. On the other hand, the GT "feeds so good" that MDT had to redesign their mags TWICE to get them to feed right, despite the GT being designed to feed well from standard mags....

In reality, well built rifles feed well, and it's no more complicated than that. I run my Dasher's hot, fast, and dirty, in the rain, in the snow, blocked mags or not, AW mags or center feeds, and they feed. Same for my creeds, and same for my son's GT (had to rebel a little).

For Dasher, rent a .125" freebore reamer, or find one of many, many smiths which will have such an animal, and you'll live happy. You CAN pick a .104" freebore if you're only ever going to shoot the lightweight bullets, but you won't hurt with the lighter bullets in the .125" either, and can step up to 100-115grn bullets too.

So my plan is to rebarrel my Savage .223 into a 6mm. Not Creedmoore, I already have one.
I'm looking at 6 BR, 6BRA, 6 Dasher, 6GT, 6XC and 6x47 Lupua.
Looking for Accuracy and Barrel life.
22" medium contour Shilenor Criterion, about .730 @ the muzzle.
What do you all have experience with?
I ran a 6x47 lapua for several years in PRS and field matches. You will be hard pressed to find a more consistent set up than that. Also ran a 22x47 lapua in a coyote gun, same results. Its a perfect size case for H4350, and a heavy for caliber bullet.
