Help me pick a scope for my 22-250

I just picked up a savage 11 in 22-250 and now its time to put some glass on it. I am currently trying to decide between 3 scopes. First is the Vortex Viper 6.5x20x44 bdc reticle, Leupold 6x18 VX2 LRV reticle and the Burris E1 6.5x20x50 with MV reticle.

Now this rifle will mainly be used for groundhogs out to 500-600 yards and maybe the occasional coyote hunt. I own a few leupolds but they are all mainly VX-3's. I also own a Vortex Viper 4-16 on my 6.5 Creedmoor and really like the scope. Never owned a Burris Fullfield E1 but the MV reticle has the most intriguing reticle out of all of them. I love BDC reticles as you can tell for the longer shots so I am looking for any experience you guys might have with these. Thanks for your input!

Take a look at the Nikon's with the BDC reticle. Also could use Nikons Spot On for accurate long range shooting. I've found good luck with these scopes. Just something to think about. Good luck and shoot straight.

Thanks but the BDC circles are a bit too thick for my liking. At 400-500 yards you cannot even see a groundhog behind those circles.

I am a fan of the Burris Fullfield IIs with Ballistic Plex. My favorite is the 4.5-14 because I hunt coyote more than groundhogs these days (the coyotes ate the groundhogs) and the 4.5 has a wider field of view on low end, but Burris also makes the FFII in 6.5-20.

For the $$$$$$$ Redfield Revelation.? Is all American made by Leupold in OR. But their other Model The Revenge.? Is made in the Phillippines.? I would go with the Revelation.? priced about $200.00 Bucks available at AMAZON.COM + free shp

Check out a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP MRAD. AWESOME scope and worth every penny. Solid clicks and tracks very well. it also has a bdc sort of retical but in milliradian subtensions. AWESOME long range scope for the money.

I have the Vortex scope you listed. I really like it for my shooting style. I have not used either of the other two you listed. I was burned once on a warranty issue with Leupold, and it left a "sour taste in my mouth" so to speak, so I switched to Vortex. I haven't needed to use the warranty yet, but most people say they have one of the best Warranty policies out there.

So of those you listed, my vote is for the Viper!

I like Vortex products, especially the PST line up but thats me and everyone has their favorites. I had a Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x40 briefly on a Sako A7 and I must say I was impressed with it. Owned a number of Leupolds and were happy with them. Only scope Ive ever had issues with wasa Zeiss Conquest....still angers me thinking about it.

Cheers!!

Thanks for all the replies guys. I went with the burris e1 with the mv reticle. I'll post an update once it comes. Picked it up nib for $375 shipped so im pretty excited.
