This is your best option. Just get some high temp BBQ grill paint and paint it when you are done. You won't find any gas blocks that will fit the current taper pins, the sight tower is installed on the barrel and they are drilled together, so only the original one will fit properly. If you really want a new gas block there are extended ones Larue's that should cover the taper pin holes.
