I think you may be over-complicating the process. Leupold will want to know your cartridge = 7mm Rem Mag, G7 BC (.315 according to Hornady website), MV = 2900fps, elevation you will be hunting (check on Google Earth or such), and estimated temperature at the time of hunt. You will also have to tell them at what distance you're sighted to hit point of aim in 50 yard increments. If you sight in at say 250yds, that will be where they will set your zero stop. You are then able to use point blank range out to slightly beyond 250yds and then use the CDS turret settings for longer distances. I have found them to be very good as long as the conditions are pretty close to those provided to Leupold. If you change to a different temperature or elevation range you will probably want to have another turret made.
