Help with pic rail on Ruger American Ranch

The stock picatinny rail is very odd, its not evenly spaced, etc. Has anyone put an aftermarket rail on this gun? I'm thinking about testing my thermal on it too, so a longer rail/mount that puts the thermal back towards the shooter might be needed. Anyone have experience with this specific gun?

it could be but the spacing is offset by their logo. its just a messed up rail only good for certain scope mounts

Ruger says it's a MIL-SPEC picatinny rail. If you have a caliper you can measure it to verify. Maybe your scope mounts are what's odd ball, not the rail.

its mil-spec but only in certain areas because they put their logo in the middle so its not consistent. its a mess. My thermal is 100% normal its on an AR right now

What type of thermal and mount? Mine is a basic quick detach that has no chance of fitting.
Hadn’t looked at mine for a while. It is the Pulsar Core. I looked at the mount and it actual only mounts with one attach point in the rail. That would be why I have not had any issues.

Do you have any problems with eye relief? I mocked up my armasight and it was pretty awkward. I need some sort of rear extended rail. Might not be worth messing with a bolt action versus my AR setup.

Thanks. Do you have a pic of your setup? Wondering if the ranch is the same as the other american models
I don't have a picture, but mine is the Predator and all of the receivers on the Americans are drilled the same. Go to EGW website and it will show you the options for each model. Mine is a 0 moa.

That's very common with thermals/nv that aren't shaped like a traditional rifle scope. There are offset rails and mounts that people make, you just need to spend a few minutes on google to find them.

Have a cheap Monstrum RM171 on the way, it had the most pic slots on the offset portion. Gonna try to mount it reverse to allow my thermal to be mounted as far back as possible. If it doesn't work I might have to look into reverse mounting the Seekins scout rail made for the ruger american.

Here's a crappy pic of what i'm dealing with. Not sure who thought this was a good idea lol. The spacing is so bad that you only have 2 areas on the whole rail that actually match standard rail dimensions... The thicker sections (arrows) throw off the alignment so even if you skip over them nothing aligns correctly.
