hevi-shot choke ?

bought a hevi-shot choke tube for a Remington shotgun a while back. went to use it and it will not fit a Remington 11-87 or 870. seems to be the same diameter as the barrel..786 outside .734 inside diameter. remington super full is .772 outside,.728 inside. called them and this choke has been discontinued and no returns. what does it fit? did Remington make a overbored barrel at one time?

From memory Remington has only ever had their Rem Chokes thread pattern. In fact Remington has been the most consistent in that regard, not having several different chokes like other manufacturer's have. Other manufacturers like Browning, Winchester, Beretta and Benelli, Mossberg, ect. can have several options that do not interchange within their own brand depending upon the particular gun and year. If your choke is truly for a Remington 12 gauge it should screw right in that 11-87 or 870.

The VersaMax has a Remington ProBore choke system that is different. It would be the only one different that the RemChoke system.
