Who all is getting in on this selling skunk fur? As far as I know they're going for a record high supposedly. I've given some thought to trapping a few and trying the kill pole on them. I don't want to get sprayed but apparently they won't if you do it that way. Is that a load of bull or do they really not spray if you use a kill pole to put them to sleep? If it works I wouldn't think twice about trapping some.

I absolutely hate catching a skunk (our fur is worthless) and if it was worth something I don’t think it would be enough for me to deal with them.
Fortunately we have very few down here for some reason. I may catch one every 2-3 years and you won’t hear me complaining about it. I’ll dispatch in the morning and come back that afternoon to remove it…stink is still about the same.
I will say this though…I’m about guaranteed a coyote and cat catch in that same set after a reset. I read about a lot of folks that target them that swear by the pole injection method for dispatch. I just don’t catch enough to invest in it.
