High performance Factory .308 Hunting Ammo

I am looking for a long range .308 Win. factory hunting load. I have been using the Federal High Energy 180g Nosler Partition, with good success on deer, and elk out to 300 Yds. Would the Federal 165g Trophy Bonded High Energy, Winchester 150g XP3 150g, or any thing else be more accurate, and effective? Maybe you can save me the time, and money experimenting. Thanks in advance.

i tried several types of rounds. My gun did not like anything lighter that 168 rg. 168 was OK, but it loves the Federal 180 gr Partitions.
If you have good luck with that great performing round, why change?

I tried the 150 gr xp3, my gun shot 5-6 inch groups at 50yds.
168 was around 1.5, but the 180 shoots sub moa groups of 5.

Ditto on these remarks. I've had my Ruger .308 since 1983 and from day one she never liked any manufacturer ammo that was under 168 gr bullets. In fact her favorite is a 168 gr Sierra HPBT being pushed by 42 Gr of either RL 15 or IMR 4895. Back then we used to buy various manufacturer loads including Lake City (when we could lay our hands on it) and as long as we stayed within the the range of 168 gr bullets, she consistently then and even today put in groups of 1/4" @ 100 yds. I'm not bragging, just thankful she does as well year after year.
