hogs in idaho?

Tews Ranch north of Shoshone Idaho has "wild" pigs on his "game ranch." But as a State there is not a viable wild pig for hunting.

7 of us hunted the Shoshone pigs in April. Pigs are as wild as fenced in pigs can be. They do run when they see you and they do charge when pissed.

They have 2 different kinds of pigs on the ranch, European and Razorbak. Myself and one other went after the Razorbak, rest took Europeans.

Hunt was not difficult by any stretch but it sure was fun. Kind of spendy for pork when all is said and done but we will be back.

If you have anymore questions give the owners a call or shoot me a PM.

So if those hogs got out some how there would be about how many lose around in that area? I am in no way suggesting that someone do this it would be [beeep] on the wild life.

A guy turned some loose in Bruneau along the river. Ranchers are madder than H E L L and would probably let you kill all you could find.

can't believe hunters would pay good money to kill fenced hogs! what has this old world come to? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

There are plenty of hogs in Idaho. Just go to the Boise Town Square Mall. They usually hang out by the restaurants. You can bait them with baked potatoes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif And they are free range.
