Has anyone shortened one of these? I need a 13" LOP and some composite stocks are easy and some need a lot of extra work to make it happen. I do not have this stock at the present but I was hoping that someone that does could pop off the recoil pad and tell me how long the inserts that the pad screws go into is. Thanks for any info Gary
 
The screws thread into plastic tubes that are molded into the entire length of the inside top and bottom edges of the stock. I assume the ID of the entire length of that tube is small enough to provide a bite for the factory screws.
 
On the composites, when you get the recoil pad off, stuff some play dough down in the stock, fill with casting resin, now you have good material to sink the screws into. You still have to fit the recoil pad.
 
That sounds like a good idea, thank you also. Sounds a lot easier in my mind that what I was planning on doing if they didn't leave the "screw boss" long enough.
