homemade crow decoys

This may sound kinda cheap, but I use the corners off of big black trash bags. What I do is, pull the corner of the bag through fingers (using your thumb and index to make a quarter size hole) until it is about 14" long then cut it off, I then blow it up a little and tie the cut end off like a ballon. The pointed end looks like the beek and if you leave about 2" past the knot, it looks like a tail and the whole thing has a little bit of a shine. 100 trashbags run a dollar at the "dollar store". I use them with the crow frenzy tape (JS) and they seem to come in and circle right above (I don't give 'em a chance to land). Works for me. Later

Here's a website that gives details for inexpensive decoys that can be made and looks good too. Check it out! With some work you might even be able to lighten them us using some type of stiff foam rubber in place of the plywood. I've been crow hunting seriously for the past couple of years using a full spread of flambeau dekes with motion dekes and these look good to me. I think they would do just as good as the flambeus.
